Recommended professional procedure for optimal structural results.
As a Bonding Agent
Mix SBR with cement in a 1:1 ratio. Apply by brush to the prepared concrete surface. Pour fresh concrete while the bonding coat is still tacky.
As a Waterproofing Slurry
Mix 1 part SBR with 2 parts cement. Apply two coats in perpendicular directions. Allow 6 hours between coats.
As a Mortar Modifier
Add SBR to the gauging water (approx. 10-15% of cement weight) before mixing with sand and cement.
Curing
Moist cure modified mortars for 2-3 days.
